Arts

Youth Arts has many exciting programs that give young people the chance to explore and connect with their community and environment, gain skills in many arts areas that are cool and of interest to them, and work together towards a positive future.

Some of the art skills young people can learn and projects they can take part in include photography, video, music, drama, stenciling, printmaking, web design, cartooning, drumming, drawing, painting, sculpture and lots of group projects to make art works for the community and places where young people hang out.

The public art projects include the 'Huonville round-a-bout' project featured on the front page of this web site or the 'Geeveston mosaic project', which is currently constructing a giant 3 part colourful mosaic seat for the Geeveston skate park.

There is a mailing list for the Youth Arts Program so if you would like to receive information about up-coming projects or an invitation to exhibition openings please contact the Youth Services team or call 62 64 0375 and leave your details.

*If you navigate to the Photo Gallery on this web page you will find lots of pictures from current and previous arts projects such as the 'Hartz Photographic Projects', the 'Inspired Stencil Project' and 'Mosaic Project' photos, to name a few.
